Empire Welding delivered full remediation works to the Skybridge at ASC’s Henderson facility.
The scope included complete scaffolding of the structure, removal of electrics, handrails and grid mesh, and structural repairs to primary members and mesh supports. Our team also engineered a non-welded dropped object screen compliant with AS 1657-2018 Clause 4.5, and carried out repairs to damaged handrail sections.
Following remediation, the entire bridge structure underwent surface treatment before reinstatement of approximately 4.5 tonnes of grid mesh, handrails, electrics and associated services.
The project was completed ahead of schedule with zero injuries, zero incidents and no disruption to vessel movements.
